2015 is already in the planning stages

I am already working on next year. My daughter and I are going to France with the French club her senior year so we have to get going. I always use my craft show money for something. Last year it was Disney, this year my kitchen to repair the water damage from the nice storm this spring and next will be France. I will be posting new show dates as soon as I get them. We have decided to add some new ones. My mother even thinks we can do two in one weekend. WE WILL SEE ABOUT THAT. Keep checking I have told myself I am going to be better at keeping my blog up to date. I am still considering and Etsy shop I just haven't had the time this fall to get extra items made. I will keep you posted on that. Back to work this pile of white fabric is going to make snowmen by itself.

Busy Busy Busy

We have had 3 really good shows this season. It has been so nice to catch up with old friends. I have even made several new ones. We had a ball at Pendleton with everyone, the weather was hot, hot, hot, Friday and then sat turned into a beautiful cool day. You know what they say, if you don't like the weather in Indiana today just wait it will change. Riggins for a second year in a row was plagued with bad weather. Thank god for steel tents and a husband and son that tied it down so good it didn't budge in 40 mph winds. Had a few other tents take flight and even wanted to come visit mine. We had to take it off the top at one point. Heard about tents being lost at several shows. STAKE THEM DOWN FRIENDS THOSE LITTLE METEL STEAKS ARE NOT ENOUGH! Last weekend at Fishers high school was another wonderful show. I am so busy trying to replenish and create some new goodies for the next show that I told my family I just don't have time to cook or clean. I don't think they were convinced lol. I will post some of the pictures from the shows. Lots of new goodies.

It's that time of year, vacation is over. My daughter and I had a wonderful time in Disney. I think the guys enjoyed the girls being gone. The show dates and times listed have all been confirmed. Hope to see everyone again this year. Lots of new goodies.

Thinking about starting and Etsy shop this fall. I have one but have never done anything with it. I have many request for things people have seen in my blog. I will keep everyone posted.

Busy Busy Weekend

Had a great weekend. One come home from college for spring break. With him he brought one broken Ipad and 10 loads of laundry. Strange to be washing baseball clothes and uniforms again. We were to have a MAJOR snow storm. People prepared and ran to grocery and got all there stuff done. We got 2 inches. But that's ok that ment I got to go to two auctions this weekend. I picked up a few things for my shows and also got a couple headboards. I want to try my hand at making a few benches. We will see how that comes out. I need spring first so I can get out in garage and work. I stayed home today and was productive with just about finishing 14 snowmen I have been working on since Christmas. I need to get it in gear for this falls shows. Especially since I took on another one and am thinking about finally using my etsy account. Well off to put more laundry in. Have a good week.

Riggins Barn Fest

 

The Riggin family here in Muncie did a wonderful job for their first show. Too bad mother nature wasn't being very nice that weekend. I went Friday night and set my tent up with the help of the headlights. Only to wake up sat morning to nasty storms and rain. Due to a death in family never made it out there to put my stuff in tent so we went out late sat night and took it back down. Sat night 60mph winds were forecasted so we all pulled up and ran for cover.

I hope they do the show again this year. I will be a very nice show for Muncie.

It's a new year and there is a lot going on

Applications are starting to be sent out so I will be adding show dates as soon as I hear back. So keep watching for those.  I have been working on a lot of new items this year. LOTS of surprises. I will try and add the pictures from last years shows soon. We did a new show last year the Plainfield Gingerbread Show and had a ball. It was a very nice show. We hope to get in again this year. I will try and do better posting this year. They have changed the format of the site so I haven't had time to sit down and mess with it much.

 

Here is a photo of our best seller from last year. For those who wanted one and missed out I will make sure I have plenty to go around this year. I am also making them in different sizes and have a few variations. You never know what I will come up with. At the moment everyone is trying to figure our what I am going to do with all the toilet paper rolls. You will have to come to a show to see. It will be a surprise.
